Helping IntoUniversity Inspire the next Generation to Achieve

We are thrilled to be supporting the work of IntoUniversity in the Brighton area.  Through their wide range of programmes, this national education charity, inspires young people through their learning centres, based in some of the UK's most disadvantaged communities, to achieve Higher Education.

IntoUniversity Brighton is based in Moulsecoomb ward where Higher Education take up is significantly lower than the national average, with only 18% of young people likely to attend university.  However, with IntoUniversity's range of intervention, that include after-school academic support; in-school workshops, study weeks and career engagement events; one-to-one mentoring; and career enrichment activities, in 2018 42% of the Brighton centre's Year 13 cohort went on to university.

The local centres are led by a team of Education Workers and are embedded at the heart of the communities where the students live; giving children from disadvantaged backgrounds the help they need to improve their academic attainment and to raise their aspirations.  Help that many other children receive as a matter of course.

We are delighted to be supporting the delivery of IntoUniversity's award-winning programme in Moulescoomb and look forward to following the progression and success of this year's students.
