Raising the future for girls through vocational training & support

Whilst we have been supporting Raising Futures Vocational Centres in Kenya for a number of years, it is great to know that nearly 80% of the young people they help are girls. It was lovely to visit Kariti Centre recently during our trip to Nairobi and meet the women on this electrical course.

Fantastic new Seed of Hope vocational centre opens in Nairobi, Kenya

Raising Futures Kenya celebrated the formal opening of their brand new vocational training centre in Nairobi. We have been delighted to support this fantastic charity for a number of years now, and to have been a part of making this new centre a reality.

Providing a safe space for young people after-school

Crew Kidz, a weekly after-school and holiday club for children, provides a safe space for young people in Whitehawk. With a range of activities on offer and a substantial healthy snack provided at each session, the club is a lifeline for some of the poorest families in the neighbourhood.

Sunflowers club helps young carers thrive

Tuppenny Barn’s Sunflowers programme supports the wellbeing of young carers, helping them to overcome barriers they often face at school. The project uses the power of gardening and experiential learning to bring about positive change in their lives, helping them re-engage with their learning.
