Networking at the Quilter Cheviot Christmas Gathering

We enjoyed meeting and networking with many other charities at the Quilter Cheviot Christmas drinks event this week. It was a lovely festive evening, with the added bonus of winning a delightful Fortnum & Mason's Christmas Hamper in the raffle!

Christmas at the castle with The David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation

Trustees had a lovely evening celebrating ‘Christmas at the Castle’ with our project partners The David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation.  This fundraising event for the Sussex based wildlife conservation charity was the perfect way to start the festive season.

We were thrilled to meet Sophie Ritson, SDNPT’s Fundraising Development Manager, and Holly Whitehouse one of their apprentice ranger trainees to hear all about this programme that we are supporting.

Fonthill strategy away day at Plumpton College

It was a real pleasure to hold our 2023 away day at the super AgriFood Centre at Plumpton College, West Sussex.  The venue provided the perfect facilities for a productive day developing our forward strategy and agreeing our 2023-24 Business Plan.

Plot 22 – 24 hour BioBlitz bonanza

It was exciting to join Plot 22 during one of their 24hr BioBlitz events being delivered as part of their Fonthill 10 year Anniversary Grant.  Trustees had fun seeing the overnight bug traps being set and local young people and their families getting involved in the event.

CEO & Trustees visit Audio Active

CEO Ceetah Grieves and Trustee Adrian Carver were delighted to visit Brighton based music charity, Audio Active, recently to find out more about their fantastic work with young people.

We were sad to say goodbye to Steve Wilkins this summer.  Steve has been a valued member of the Trustee team since 2018.  We thank him for all his support and wish him the very best as he heads off to spend more time on his other gardening and outdoor activities.
