Dr Archbishop Kiwanuka School & Nakirebe Primary School, Uganda

We are delighted to be supporting this wonderful school just outside Mpigi, Uganda.  It is a large mixed school that is also home for a number of orphans.

Most of the children come from very poor backgrounds and whilst they have the opportunity to attend school they have no resources or equipment of their own.  And whilst the school does its best it too is poorly resourced.

This is why we are working with the school and it's partner school in Brighton, Downs View to send a Contain-A-School shipment bursting with essential school and classroom equipment and resources.

School: Dr Archbishop Kiwanka School & Nakirebe Primary School, Uganda
Number of Children: 1084
UK Partner School: Downs View School & College

Downs View School & College, Brighton, has more recently developed an active partnership with Dr Archbishop Kiwanuka School, Uganda. Whilst the Headteachers of both schools have known each other for a number of year the relationship has really blossomed with plans to develop the support in areas of teaching & learning, welfare and facilities development.

We are delighted to be working with Downs View and Dr. Archbishop Kiwanuka School to send a Contain-A-School shipment later this year.  With over a thousand pupils and nearly 200 orphan children resident at the school, Dr Archbishop Kiwanuka School is in desperate need of a wide range of  school equipment and resources.

We are really excited about this project, working with the wonderful staff, pupils and parents at Downs View to make a difference to all the children and staff at Dr Archbishop School.

Look out for more news on this latest Contain-A-School project as we get closer to the shipping date.
